A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
RATSHOT is a game about a fugitive rat in New York City.
The movement is quick and nimble, with plenty of room to challenge
yourself with level rankings and speedrunning while still being beatable
by the average player.
This game is currently a DEMO!
I am still very far from finishing this game, but the full version will come out on steam eventually. If you wanna support the development,

I really liked the look of Ratshot, and wanted to see if you’d be interested in a small playtest partnered with GameUserResearch. This would be completely free, and we'd collect real gameplay data, feedback, and recorded footage/screenshots/surveys to help refine the experience.
A key focus would be how well players understand the game’s mechanics, whether everything is intuitive, and what could be improved to make the experience clearer and smoother. We’d also analyze engagement, difficulty balance, and overall UX to see if anything could be refined. Additionally, do you have any other games in development that might benefit from structured user testing?
I’d love to help provide early feedback and insights that could shape the game’s direction. Let me know if this sounds useful, I’d be happy to discuss it further!

I found the control scheme on controller quite unintuitive. Otherwise very epic, sick art style I shot myself (across the gap)

I think you should have a bit more control over how high the gun shoots you.
Only bug I encountered was the character sliding much further than usual in the intro.

I'm getting this error on Linux
Error: Couldn't load project data at path ".". Is the .pck file missing? If you've renamed the executable, the associated .pck file should also be renamed to match the executable's name (without the extension).
And the exe doesn't work with wine either
Retrocrow forgot to package the pck file with the linux build, download the windows version and get the pck file from there.

I love the game! I feel like it's very nice, and polished. Some thing I would like to see added is an option to just jump again in the air to do the shoot jump ( as well as custom controls of course ). I play on laptop with no mouse, so it's hard to do the shoot jump or right click to attack
